The mission of the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) is " to explore the frontiers of consciousness to advance individual, social, and global transformation." At this gathering, we will inquire into the notion of ‘community’ as expressed by various IONS thinkers, and explore how critical ‘community building’ is to consciously advance personal and collective transformation--creating a model that works for all.
Cecile Andrews, our local community luminary, will be our guest facilitator. Meet other like-minded people and share your personal stories about what ‘community’ means to you. If you are part of an organization, come share your success stories of ‘community building.’ Help us be enlightened and inspired!

She is a founder of Phinney EcoVillage, an urban neighborhood project working for community and sustainability, helping people live "simpler, slower, and smaller." The mission of IONS is “ to explore the frontiers of consciousness to advance individual, social, and global transformation.” We discuss a wide range of topics such as worldviews, root causes of all issues, spirituality, quantum physics, social justice... At this inaugural gathering we will talk about what’s in your mind, what you are called to do in this New Year, topics you would like to see addressed at future gatherings. With your input, we will explore the concept of community. Your ideas and participation are a vital part of this effort.
