The new President of IONS (Institute of Noetic Sciences), Marilyn Mandala Schlitz Ph.D, will be in Seattle for an informal conversation about present developments and future plans for IONS and its community groups.

Marilyn has played a leading role in IONS research and education since 1994.  Since becoming president in January, she is actively seeking input and feedback from the greater IONS community regarding her vision for IONS, including her current draft of a revised mission statement:
“To explore the mysteries of consciousness by integrating science and spirit to catalyze a sustainable future for all of humanity.”

Further describing her vision, Marilyn says:  “IONS intends to refocus on the core mission of excellence in consciousness research at the nexus of inner wisdom and objective science, and to apply the findings to promote human flourishing and planetary sustainability. This is the primary driver for all of IONS’ work.”

She plans to share news of how a visit to her son’s school - to talk about her work and how it might apply to the students  - very quickly mushroomed, by popular demand, into an exciting new IONS plan to create a K-12 curriculum on Worldview Literacy, or “what the students know and how they know it”.

These are exciting times to be watching, and hopefully helping to steer, the accelerating evolution of consciousness on the planet.  Come join us for what is likely to be a fascinating peek at IONS, an increasingly important leading edge of that movement.
